About

I’m a staff-level frontend engineer at StyleSeat, where I built the company’s design system from scratch and led a multi-year migration off AngularJS and Cordova — first to React and TypeScript, then Next.js for SSR on the high-traffic, SEO-sensitive pages, then the mobile app to React Native. Most of what I do day to day is the unglamorous middle of a large codebase: finding a path through a legacy system that doesn’t require rewriting everything at once, and mentoring the engineers who’ll maintain what’s left after I do.

Outside of work I lead Project Celeste, a 30-person global team doing community reverse engineering that resurrected a defunct MMO — IDA Pro, a hand-rolled Xbox Live emulator, a custom game server, the whole thing. I like systems enough to take them apart, and I like developer tooling enough to spend real time making it less painful for the next person.
